During this time he has proven to be a valuable member of our staff and does a great job
of maintaining the school. Nigel has always gone above and beyond our expectations
and has helped me in a number of maintenance issues with regards to the library. He is

Nigel has worked as the Head Custodian at xxxxxxxxxx Catholic
School for six years. Often when I introduce Nigel I refer to him as our "Caretaker"
because it is with tremendous care that he performs his daily work. Nigel is the type of
caretaker who will assist whenever he can and in whatever way he can. He
conscientiously performs his duties and has an excellent knowledge base with regards to
the technical aspects of his job. He goes about ordinary daily work in an extra-ordinary
way.
Nigel was instrumental in the co-ordination of classroom moves and custodial
duties while the school prepared for and underwent construction over a period of seven
months. He is exceptional in his ability to work collaboratively with staff,
administration, parents and students.
It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Nigel for a Custodial position.

I have had the privilege of working with Nigel as my custodian for the last
school year. Nigel takes pride in our school and in the work that he does to make it an
awesome place for our community.
He shows wonderful initiative and shares ideas and suggestions for improvement.
When custodians were asked to participate in a board wide initiative to display
health and safety information, Nigel's display was the best. Nigel is a team player and
gets along well with staff and students alike. He is very knowledgeable about many
things and has shared input into many problem-solving situations.
I would probably prefer to write Nigel a terrible letter of reference in the hope of keeping
him at our school. He is excellent at what he does and his shoes will be hard to fill. It is
without reservation that I recommend Nigel for a custodial position.
